Guest speaker:
Stephen Donohoe, Forensic Video Analyst, Halton Regional Police Service Technical Crime Unit
Stephen began his career at New Scotland Yard from 1976 to 1994 as a crime scene photographer. He won numerous awards for the production of training and operational videos while with the Metropolitan Police Video Unit. Stephen worked with surveillance and covert operations at both a local and national level.

Between 1994 and 2001, Stephen worked for the British government conducting surveillance operations throughout the United Kingdom. During his tenure, he earned a Chief Superintendent’s Commendation for the investigation of a riot at a Birmingham soccer stadium, which resulted in the arrest and conviction of 134 individuals.

Stephen was also Co-Director of the ‘National Optical & Evidence Gathering Course’ – an Association of Chief Police Officer’s (ACPO) accredited course.

Stephen immigrated to Canada in 2001 and ultimately began working for Halton Regional Police Service as the sole Forensic Video Analyst for the service.
