 Description

As a Senior Security System Installer with New Age Group, you will collaboratively review, understand, analyze the project sites, and provide recommendations in line with the project guidelines, and implement installation blueprints and plans from the Installation and Service Manager and the Project Managers (as required) to complete the project installations/service calls.

This role requires the ability and the know-how to properly complete the installations/service calls, understand and follow the Bill of Materials (BOM), and be capable of making adjustments or finding alternative solutions as needed to complete installations/service calls to meet the client's satisfaction.

Though based in Concord, Ontario you may be required to travel to job sites throughout and out of the region. The Senior Security System Installer may be required to stand for prolonged periods of time and capable of lifting equipment and materials up to 50 pounds

 Responsibilities

Installation & Integration:

  • Lead the installation of security systems, including video surveillance, access control, intercom, intrusion, and other security related technologies.
  • Ensure proper functioning and connectivity of all security components.
  • Program equipment on site as required and instructed by ISM or Senior Project Manager.
  • Conduct ULC Burglar and Protective Signaling system maintenance and complete/submit report.
  • Perform annual preventative maintenance for various security systems.
  • Complete the programming and carry out the installation of all ELV (Extra Low Voltage) components
  • Collaborate with the remote support team when troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues related to security systems while on job site.
  • Update project/service calls drawings with all necessary information (i.e. model #, height information of the installation, cable routes, etc.).
  • Complete all structured cabling type of work.
  • Follow company standards and procedures related to installation and programming.
  • Follow Health and Safety standards.

Project Management:

  • Work closely with Senior Project Manager and ISM to complete all assigned projects and service calls.
  • Follow and update project drawings as needed.
  • Submit reports and makes recommendations to the ISM and Senior Project Manager regarding any issues or challenges with the products, installation process or other issues that may have an effect with the installation of the project.
  • Conduct site surveys for future projects as required.

Team Leadership:

  • Provide guidance and leadership to junior installers.
  • Ensure all installers will be onsite with all equipment, materials and other pertinent tools required to complete the job.
  • Lead and supervise installation team on site.
  • Mentor and conduct training sessions for junior installers, on new technologies and best practices.
  • Train existing and new installers on how to conduct themselves professionally, running wires, mounting devices on walls and ceilings.
  • Provide feedback regarding other installer's performance on site to ISM for improvements.
  • Daily vehicle inspections must be completed and submitted as one of Installer's KPI.

Warehouse Logistics and Management:

  • Provide warehouse assistance to the Operations Analyst as needed.
  • Pick/Prep job equipment for daily and future service calls.
  • Complete equipment paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Organize returned equipment/supplies back in stock for inventory purposes.
  • Perform and assist in managing inventory count of equipment/supplies as required and as instructed by the Operations Analyst.
  • Assist in keeping the warehouse area tidy and organized including storage of all equipment/supplies.


**Other tasks in addition to the above list maybe assigned as required**

 Qualifications
  • High school diploma; post-secondary education in electronics (technician) or technologist
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the installation of similar electrical equipment and wire/cable in similar environments.
  • Knowledge and ability to use power tools with appropriate training for powered equipment and lifts etc.
  • Able to lift cameras, wall boxes, and typical equipment associated with the security industry
  • Able to work at heights on a lift or scaffold etc. (with lift and fall prevention training, etc.)
  • Specific knowledge of the following types of systems would be beneficial: DSC, Protégé, Axis, HIK, and entry systems, Network components – jacks, patch panels, switches, routers and hubs.
  • Possess a valid Ontario Driver's License (G level) with a clean driving history Speak, read and write fluent English
  • Clean Criminal Background Check for the past 5 years from Canada.

 Salary $60,000-$85,000
