Key Responsibilities

– Alarm Monitoring / Emergency Response

  • Monitor and respond to alarm signals (fire, intrusion, panic, medical) and, video monitoring in real time.
  • Follow established emergency protocols with precision and speed.
  • Communicate with emergency services, clients, and key contacts during active incidents.
  • Handle high volumes of urgent calls calmly and professionally.
  • Log alarm events and actions in real time.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, confidentiality, and operational standards.

– Customer Support / Service Desk

  • Answer incoming calls and emails related to alarm systems and services.
  • Assist end users with basic troubleshooting and alarm diagnostics.
  • Log and manage service tickets with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • De-escalate customer concerns with empathy and professionalism.
  • Represent the monitoring station with a customer-first approach.
  • Support administrative and operational tasks as needed.

Who You Are

  • Calm, focused, and quick-thinking in high-pressure or fast-paced environments.
  • Strong verbal and written communicator in both technical and customer service contexts. (bilingualism sometimes required)
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of multitasking effectively.
  • Comfortable working with monitoring, alarm, and communications technology.
  • Team player with a structured work ethic and strong sense of responsibility.
  • Available to work rotating shifts, evenings, weekends, or holidays, as required.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in monitoring, alarm services, customer service, or dispatch is an asset.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel).
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check (mandatory).

Work Environment

  • Full-time, in-office role within a secure 24/7 monitoring center.
  • Schedules may include 12-hour shifts or rotating schedules, depending on employer needs.
  • You’ll work in a structured, secure setting committed to public safety and operational excellence.
